CBES Open House
Come meet your Teachers and tour the building as we get ready to begin a new year. Ms. Humphreys and I are so excited to meet each of you and look forward to seeing you on August 16, 2010.  The building will be open from 6:00 - 7:30p.m.   Our room is #322.  It is the first room on the left past the teacher's workroom in the "K - 1" wing.  A first grade school supply list can be found on the School's "home" page.  We hope to see you then!

Parent Night
Tuesday, September 7, 2010 is our parent information meeting.  Please plan to attend, as we will be addressing many of the questions you may be having at this time.  It will also be an opportunity for you to learn how you can be an integral part of your child's education throughout the year.  This meeting is for parents, plan to attend accordingly.  We look forward to seeing you at 6:00p.m.  We will begin on time so that you will be able to meet with Mrs. Davis or a siblings teacher.  Only Kindergarten and First grade will be meeting on this night.

Box Tops
Save your box Tops!! This fall the  PTSA will have a "friendly" competition to see which class can safe the most "tops" and raise the most cash for our school.  It's a fun easy way to help our school.  Just look on the packaging of things you buy and clip the " box top".  Then safe them in a baggy until contest time.  Have fun!

Volunteers Needed
You are an important part of our classroom.  There are many ways you can be involved in our classroom.  Some of the ways you might be able to help include reading with students, using manipulatives with students for added math practice, art projects, and Accelerated Reading Test.  If you prefer not to work directly with students you can help with copies and making various teaching materials.  If you have a particular hobby, holiday celebration you would like to share.  Are you a dental hygienist, firefighter, new anchor, etc. we would love to have you visit the classroom.
There will be an opportunity to sign up to volunteer or be a room parent at open house.
